The Typhoon trademark used on our range of fans and crop storage solutions was originally registered in 1967 by Cornercroft Agriculture, a company founded in1965. The Typhoon trademark and business assets of Cornercroft were then purchased by Pellcroft Engineering Limited in 1987, a business led by talented engineer Steve Pell. Pellcroft continued to build on the strong brand of Typhoon, working through the same nationwide dealer network used by Cornercroft and following the same strategy of producing high quality robust products, built to pass down through the generations of farming families. The reliability of the distinctive bright orange Typhoon Centrifugal fans has led to a loyal customer following, with a reputation for high quality among farmers within the UK and as far away as New Zealand and Australia.
Manufacturing takes place in a 12,000 square foot factory based in Coningsby, Lincolnshire and the company are immensely proud to have retained over 90% of manufacturing and assembly of our finished range here in the UK, and to be one of the very few agricultural equipment manufacturers that has continued to be able to apply the British Flag to our products.
Our founder Steve Pell sadly passed away in 2014. As well as dedicating time to the business, Steve had a passion for cars and was a generous supporter of local charities, particularly 'When You Wish Upon a Star' and 'Sunflowers Children’s Action Group' - focusing on children with life threatening illnesses'.
From October 2020 we increased our standard guarantee on all new TC fans (7.5HP to 60HP) from a 2 year guarantee to a 5 year Guarantee; however, the strength and quality of manufacture and design have kept Typhoon fans operational for decades in farms across the UK. Clients are always encouraged to come back to us if they have any concerns and, on the rare occasions of any issues, we seek to promptly resolve them.
